Online presentation of thesis given by PhD student María Couret

Thesis presentations by PhD students usually held in Taliarte are once more up and running, this time online. María Couret, whose research is entitled "Seasonal variations in the abundance, biomass and diversity of the zooplankton and micronecton communities" was the first to present her work for this subject via the Microsoft Teams platform and completed it with a Powerpoint presentation to illustrate her arguments and data collection. The presentation, which came across very well despite some acoustic interference, was given in English. It is a general rule to present in English but today was especially apt as, apart from the usual audience of lecturers and students, a guest PhD student was also listening in from Iceland, owing to her interest in a possible internship in IOCAG later on in the year.
A summary of Maria's work can be accessed here.
