The DOYCAG Research Presentation Sessions Have Begun

Last Thursday, May 30, marked the start of the Public Research Presentation Sessions by early-stage researchers of the DOYCAG program (PhD in Oceanography and Global Change).

The opening session was held in the presentation room at the Taliarte building, home of the IOCAG – ULPGC.

This first session featured the engaging presentations of:

🔹 Laia Puyal Astals

“Seasonal Volume Transport Estimates from SADCP Measurements to Assess Connectivity between the Bellingshausen and Weddell Seas”

🔹 Jacob Stefan Torres Ojeda

“Exploring Ocean Dynamics in the Canary Region: From Aquaculture Sites to Island Wake Processes”

These sessions are a valuable opportunity to share scientific progress, encourage academic discussion, and showcase the work of the new generation of researchers.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and congratulations to the presenters!

We’ll keep you posted on the upcoming sessions.
